Privacy
Effective October 28, 2026.
Avalier Advisory respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect through avalier.ca and the conversations that follow, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Avalier Advisory is a sole proprietorship of David Bradfield, registered in Ontario. David Bradfield is accountable for how Avalier handles personal information.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, work email, organization, role, and your message
- Landscape Review booking. Your name, email, the time you choose, and anything you add when you book
- Landscape Review call. Notes, a transcript, and a capture of the screen content during the session
- In-person meetings. Notes, and an audio recording and transcript if you agree
- Site visits. Pages viewed, the site that referred you, browser and device type, and approximate location, gathered through Squarespace Analytics cookies if you accept them
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we ask that you not include it in a message.
Why we collect it
We use what you send to reply to you, to schedule and hold your Landscape Review, and to follow up on that conversation. We use site visit data to understand which pages help people and to improve the site. We do not sell personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list or send marketing email unless you ask us to.
When you send the form or book a time, you agree to these uses. Your booking confirmation and calendar invite will say that the call is transcribed and that we capture the screen content during the session. If you would rather we did not, reply to either one. We will also remind you at the start of the call. If you say so then, we will not transcribe the call, and we will turn Littlebird off for the call. We record a call or meeting only if you agree, and we will ask first. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent for recording, transcription, and screen capture applies to future calls and meetings. You can also ask us to delete the recording, transcript, or screen content from a past call or meeting.
Who helps us handle it
Avalier uses a small number of service providers to run the site and reply to you.
- Squarespace hosts the site, stores contact form submissions, and provides site analytics
- Calendly runs Landscape Review booking
- Google Workspace provides Avalier email and file storage. Contact form notifications and our replies to you pass through it
- Claude, by Anthropic, is an AI assistant we use to organize inquiries and draft replies. Model training is turned off for our account
- Littlebird is an AI assistant that reads Avalier email and the text on screen as working context, so we can keep track of conversations and follow-ups. It may also transcribe online calls, including Landscape Reviews. It does not store audio. It states that it does not use this information to train AI models
- Plaud may be used to record and transcribe in-person meetings. It is the only service we use to record audio. It states that it does not use recordings or transcripts to train AI models
- Google Meet may be used to transcribe online calls, including Landscape Reviews. Transcripts are saved in Avalier Google Workspace
Each provider handles information under its own privacy terms.
Where it is stored
These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country, which may allow courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities to access it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages, booking details, and notes, recordings, transcripts, and screen content from calls and meetings for 12 months after our last contact with you. After that we delete them, including the copies held in Google Workspace, Littlebird, and Plaud. If we begin working together, our engagement terms set how long we keep your information. Copies held by the other providers listed above follow their own terms.
How we protect it
Only David Bradfield can sign in to the accounts that hold your information. The AI assistants listed above reach some of those accounts on his behalf. Every account uses a strong password and two-step verification.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that it needs to work, and analytics cookies that count visits. You can accept or decline analytics cookies when you first visit. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works either way.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You can also withdraw your consent. Send your request through the contact form, or reply to any email from us, and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We will post any changes here and update the effective date.
